Job Description & Requirements:
An award-winning daily community newspaper, located in the Texoma region, is seeking an experienced, innovative, high-energy professional to lead its Advertising Department. This key management position is responsible for the direction of our six-person sales team, quarterly magazines, an associated weekly newspaper, special sections and Internet sales.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: Meet and exceed a set monthly revenue goal, supervise and train sales staff, coordinate sales efforts for multiple publications, be an active member in the community, be an effective communicator with other department heads, create a positive work environment, and lead by example. The qualified candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be an innovative thinker with a sense of creativity to help develop new revenue opportunities within the market, and a proven ability to successfully motivate sales staff is required. Customer service and a strong work ethic must be a top priority.
