    Job Description:  Oklahoma Today magazine, the official magazine of the state of Oklahoma since 1956, is seeking a Research Editor (Writer/Researcher). This full-time position will be based at Oklahoma Today's office at the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department near downtown Oklahoma City.
    The Research Editor will serve as the magazine's primary fact checker, verifying the accuracy of the magazine's reporting and maintaining a working knowledge of Oklahoma places, people, history, culture, food, and events. The Research Editor also will assist the editor-in-chief, managing editor, and web editor with content planning for the magazine and its ancillary digital products and will write articles of various length on a regular basis.
    The ideal candidate will have an eye to detail that borders on the annoying; a feeling of victory when finding mistakes; a strong sense of integrity; a keen eye for diversity and representation; and strong writing and oral communication skills. A degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related field and one year of experience in the field of writing or editing are required.
